For quick marinating, make sure the meat and poultry are at room temperature. This can cut the marinating time down to 2 hours. If you are going to be marinating for up to 48 hours, then meat must be refrigerated.

Marinate in glass or ceramic bowl just large enough to hold the food and marinade. You can also use a heavy duty ziplock bag. Be sure to rotate the meat several times during the marinating process.

CY's Eclectic makes a wide variety of marinades, both liquid and paste. Our paste marinades are influenced by original curry recipes from India and Asia.
Marinades are great to prepare meats for grilling. They not only add flavor, but can also tenderize tougher cuts of meat.

The definition of a marinade is a paste or liquid mixture that food soaks in before it is cooked. You can marinate anywhere form 15 minutes to 48 hours depending on the type of meat. Seafood should marinate for the least amount of time (no more than 30 minutes), while tougher cuts of meats should marinate for longer.
